Frequently asked questions

Reformer Pilates is a form of exercise performed on a specialized piece of equipment called a Reformer. The Reformer uses a system of springs, straps, and a sliding carriage to provide resistance and support during exercise. It offers a full-body workout that improves strength, flexibility, posture, and balance — all with low impact on the joints.

Absolutely! Our classes are all levels, and our instructors offer modifications and guidance to support both beginners and experienced clients.

If it’s your first time on the reformer, please arrive about 5 minutes early and let your instructor know when you check in. They’ll walk you through the basics and help you get comfortable with the equipment before class begins.

We also offer Beginner Basics classes, which move at a slightly slower pace with more focus more on foundational movements.

Wear comfortable activewear that allows you to move freely. Grip socks are a must for safety - they can be purchased through our booking system at checkout or in the studio. Please tie hair back, and note that any jewellery is worn at your own risk.

Just yourself and a water bottle! We provide all the equipment you need. Grip socks are required — bring your own or purchase a pair at the studio.

Please arrive no more than 5 mins before your class. If you’re earlier than that, kindly wait until an instructor opens the studio door. For everyone’s comfort, we keep the studio door locked during classes to ensure the session isn’t disturbed.

There is parking available near our studio in Canmore. Please check our Contact page for our full address and directions. Street parking and nearby lots are available.

We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before beginning or continuing any exercise program during pregnancy. Please inform your instructor before class if you are pregnant so they can offer appropriate modifications.

Please consult with your healthcare provider before participating if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations. Always inform your instructor before class of any concerns so they can provide appropriate modifications and ensure your safety.

Yes, grip socks are mandatory in our studio for hygiene and safety reasons. They help prevent slipping on the Reformer carriage. If you forget yours, we have grip socks available for purchase at the studio.

There are bathrooms which are a part of our building, you can find them around the corner of the hall.
We do not offer showers or change rooms.

Please keep your phone on silent during class. We love seeing guests capture the Studio 103 experience and encourage photos before or after class. If filming during class, we simply ask that you be mindful of others and avoid recording fellow participants without their consent so everyone can feel comfortable and present during their session.

Participants must be at least 16 years of age to attend classes at Studio 103. Clients aged 16–17 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver on their behalf.

Out of respect for your instructor and fellow participants, clients who arrive after class has begun may not be admitted. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before class starts. If you know you will be running late, please contact us in advance.

This policy exists to allow waitlisted clients the opportunity to take your spot.

If you do not cancel your booking and fail to attend class, the session will be deducted from your class package or a no-show fee will be charged. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book future classes. We appreciate your understanding — these policies help us maintain a fair experience for all members.
